Lots to talk about in such little time!
It’s been a pretty productive weekend for this Mando. Saturday, my wife and I headed out in search of fabric and accessories for the upcoming Heartland Pride parade in next month. Before you ask, I’m not sure why they are hosting it in July, as Pride is just about to finish up it’s month long celebration in June.
The exciting thing is this year, we will have all the Star Wars costume clubs in Nebraska representing in the Parade! Not sure why it took so long for our groups in Nebraska to jump in, as Star Wars has been inclusive, but next month I can’t wait to show off the additional accessories in support of Pride! Hopefully I’ll have a pic or two of the new armor pieces and some action shots.
Following up with that exciting news, we also hosted an armor party on Sunday for the local Mando clan. It was great to see everyone there along with some newcomers, who I must admit are well on their way to getting their armor built and approved. The weather was super nice for June in Nebraska, as normally it would be in the high 80’s with 80% humidity. Instead it was a nice and cool 60 degree morning and never got above the high 70’s. Perfect weather for setting up application photos for one of our prospective members.
In the coming weeks I do hope to showcase some of their photos and, if everything is perfect, official confirmation of the newest member of the Mandalorian clan since well, me in 2019.
I hope to post some updated tutorials in the next few days as I’m close to showing off my new belt boxes and the new shoulder armor.
Until next time vod!
