Su cuy’gar vod!
The man behind (or is it underneath?) the helmet.
Well, to start off, my day job is working as a Support Analyst for an Information Technology company. I am a ’Jack of all trades’ kind of tech where I have skillsets in hardware, software, networking, and a bit of programing on the side.
In my off hours, I am a PC gamer, a novice exercise enthusiast, 3D printer operator, and cosplay prop builder. I am also the Ruus’alor of the Ne’tra Vhipir Clan out of Nebraska. A sort of ’master at arms’ title where I help assist foundlings on their journey to becoming official members of the Mando Mercs.
I got involved in cosplay back when first met my wife in 2011. I didn’t really get into the fun of wearing the costume but rather building the costume pieces for her while she sews the soft parts. Since then I was always the ‘man behind the cosplayer’ with building props and armor. Eventually I met some awesome folks at the Mando Mercs booth in 2015 and from there, started working on my Mandalorian armor. I guess you could say I needed some motivation to wear my costumes. Raising awareness for charities was definitely one of them.
Outside of my work and cosplay, I am married to my wife Anne for 7 years and are parents to a very lovable but stubborn Shiba Inu.
Currently, I am either working on upgrades to my custom Mandalorian armor or working on building the hard parts of my wife’s cosplay outfits.
